Lookalike gets slim

An Essex student has been offered work as a lookalike for racing star Lewis Hamilton after losing 10 stone in 10 months.

Before racing down to 12 stone, Emmanuel Olobio, 18, says he was constantly mistaken for another celebrity – tubby US hip-hop star Sean Kingston.

"I didn't mind getting mistaken for Sean Kingston because I think he's great, but at the end of the day I looked like him because I was so fat and that upset me. I can tell you looking like Lewis Hamilton is a lot more fun, especially where the ladies are concerned."

His love of fast food and lack of exercise saw him pile on the pounds while he was at school. By the time he left aged 16 he had peaked at 22 stone. His wake up call came after a meeting with his GP to discuss his weight.

"I basically got told I could die before the age of 30 unless I got my weight under control. I realised I was eating myself to death."

He cut out takeaways and started a gentle exercise routine before building up to five workouts a week at the gym. Emmanuel set a goal of reaching his target of 12 stone in just 12 months and booked a boy's holiday to Malia, Greece to keep motivated.

His hard work paid off and by the time the holiday came round he had reached his target weight.
