Mandaza’s first goal in the tournament came in the 87th against Mamelodi Sundowns who they beat 4-3 on penalties.

Mandaza scored his second goal of the tournament, and first of the match, by finishing in the 43rd minute, to give his side a 2-0 lead at half-time.

Nicknamed 'Terror', Mandaza joined Platinum Stars from Botswana Premier League outfit Township Rollers after rattling the net 42 times in 33 games two seasons ago.

Last season Mandaza was nearly released from his contract after his coach, Owen Da Gama, indicated that he was not happy with his contribution to the side.
