Her company was established to promote the arts in Africa as a way of telling people’s stories.

“A message can be delivered through acting and lifestyles can be interpreted through the lens of a camera, through fashion, song or dance. It can be a love story or a political satire, but it has that ability to reach an audience and send a message to people in their day to day lives. Our sole intention is to revolutionize theatre and film in the world. A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step,” Sibiya said.

Sibiya is an Assessor and Moderator in Arts, and she holds a diploma in Business Studies and Communication. She trained at the British Commercial College and is currently studying to become a languages assessor. On top of that, she attended the e-school of arts at the South African State Theatre where she studied drama, modelling, business etiquette, script writing and stage acting.

After completing her studies, she was employed by the arts school for her outstanding capabilities in leadership as a Production Coordinator for Capital Arts Festival. She did fashion shows for two years for the State Theatre.

Showoffs came into being in 2009, and in 2010 it successfully choreographed the Miss Zimbabwe South Africa 2010 event.

“We managed to host Miss Zim-SA last year and we’re doing it again this year,” she said.
