Mabena, the director of Cillas’s Conference, was honoured during the institute’s graduation ceremony held in the city recently. The award is given to organisations and individuals with brands that have excelled throughout the year.

“We have decided to honour Mabena with this award for her conference centre which meets our standards. They are always on time, have friendly staff and are pleasant to work with in every respect,” said the institute’s President, John Chikura.

“It’s a great honour for my company to be chosen for this award. I think it will definitely go a long way towards motivating myself and my staff to work even harder. Obviously this honour has put me and my organisation in the limelight and we need to maintain and even increase our standards,” said Mabena in her acceptance remarks.

She said she was planning to expand by opening similar conference centres in Harare and Gweru next year. She attributed her nomination to her husband, clients and workers who she said had been very supportive since the centre’s inception in 2004.

The centre has got conference rooms which can accommodate up to 100 people at any given time. The centre recently launched a new and unique product in the city called Virtual Offices, providing custodial and administrative services to business people at affordable prices.
