Nengomasha, a club legend

Kaizer Chiefs have praised midfielder, Tinashe Nengomasha, who recently earned the status of club legend.

Nengomasha, who in August reached a milestone of 300 games for the Naturena giants, joins an elite group of players such as Doctor Khumalo, Thabo Mooki and Brian Baloyi.

The former Black Aces anchorman, who joined Chiefs in 2002, has starred for the ABSA Premiership side every season, helping give earn a trophy every season.

“On behalf of the Club we would like to congratulate Nengomasha for the commitment he has shown since arriving here,” said Football manager, Bobby Motaung. Last week, he handed the influential midfielder a special jersey that goes with the top accolade.

“He is an example and a professional. For the first time ever, when we played against Santos in Polokwane, he left the field because of injury. This shows how devoted he has been to this Club and we honour him.”

Head Coach, Vladimir Vermezovic, praised Nengomasha for his professionalism on and off the field. On December 20, The General, who is captaining the side in the absence of Itumeleng Khune, is expected to play his 310th match for The Amakhosi, who host Free State Stars Saturday.
