Tholakele Ngomayabo will make donations to Huwana Clinic this Christmas.

“When I visited the clinic some time ago I was moved by what I saw. The hospital doesn’t have a flag and they struggle with water, so I will make sure I donate these things to them over Christmas. I am looking at donating wheel chairs for the disabled because I saw them struggling as well. This is my Christmas present to the clinic,” she said.

Ngomayabo, 37, was the only Zimbabwean-born female singer to perform at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa last year. She is also a founder member and co-lead singer for Johannesburg-based Zimbabwean gospel group, Amakholwa Amahle. She made history last year when she performed at the World Cup opening ceremony at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

Recently, she launched her 10-track album “Ngivulele Nkosi” which is enjoying continued air-play on South African radio stations. She was born at Mdanyazana in Plumtree, Matabeleland South.
