Tribute to Josiah Magama Tongogara

As Christmas approaches, and with it the 32nd anniversary of Josiah Tongogara’s death on December 26, here is a tribute from a reader who befriended Tongogara during the Lancaster House Conference in 1979 and once hosted him and some of his colleagues in North London.

The vultures hail and cheer the brave hunter on Till his prey to hand, whence him their easier prey; Crocodile tears overflowing, his prey all their own, Feasting by his corpse, his name they hail no more.
