Barnabas Mwanaka is still in hospital getting treatment following his assault by overzealous officers in the city center. He is part of eight MDC members who were arrested at Harvest House yesterday when anti-riot police officers stormed the building. The others are detained at the Harare Central Police Station but no charges have been brought against them.
In Manicaland, the trial for Chimanimani West MP Hon Lynnette Karenyi, who is facing charges of undermining Mugabe, which kicked off on Thursday was remanded to 19 January for ruling.
