SIDA loan transforms Mutare

Residents have applauded the City of Mutare for using a $1 million revolving fund from the Swedish International Development Agency to repair its refuse collection fleet and upgrade its water plant. The funding has completely changed the face of the city with most roads rehabilitated and most refuse collected on time. Residents thanked council for “working tirelessly to bring back Mutare to its rightful status as Jewel of the East”. The loan is expected to be repaid in two years.
