Junior Parlyan example: Chamisa

The Junior Parliament is more organised than the senior august house, according to the Minister of Information Communication Technology, Nelson Chamisa. The minister was speaking on the sidelines of an event run byEconet Zimbabwe that involved them distributing cell phones to Junior Parliamentarians. The event was attended by the Youth, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment Minister SaviourKasukuwere.

“The Junior Parliament of Zimbabwe is more organised than its mother parliament. I wouldn’t want to say much about our cabinet,” Chamisa said. He commended young parliamentarians for the issues they researched and brought to parliament. He also hailed their excellent parliamentary debates.

Chamisa said that unlike the senior august house, the country’s JuniorParliament did not have a history of violence. “We appreciate what the young parliamentarians are doing. They are actually setting an exemplary precedent for their seniors in the country’s august house,” said Chamisa.
