He was facing three counts of assault and malicious damage to property. Tiringindi is alleged to have assaulted the dean at the Great Zimbabwe University and also damaged collage property.
He was found guilty at the end of his trial and he was given a six-month suspended sentence. The sentence was suspended for five years on condition that he does not commit a similar crime.
