Y-Y inflation dropped 0.6 pct points to 4.3%

Harare-Year-on-Year inflation for the month of January as measured by the all items Consumer Price Index dropped to 4.3% after shedding 0.6 percentage points. In December year-on-year inflation stood at 4.9%. Month on Month inflation was at 0.5% gaining 0.3 percentage points on the December rate of 0.2%. Food and Non Alcoholic beverages stood at 0.41% gaining 0.08 percentage points on the December 2011 rate of 0.33%. Month on month non-food inflation stood at 0.48% gaining 0.33 percentage points
