The Foundation of Life Society, formed by Zimbabweans living in Britain, last week donated food and medical equipment to villagers in the area. Zanu (PF) officials allege their members are being side-lined.
A member of the MDC-T ward 4 coordination committee in Samanga village, Farai Sanyamandwe, told this paper last week that MDC-T supporters have been ordered by Zanu (PF) members to choose between accepting donor food aid and eviction.
He identified those tormenting them as: Vimbai Chatyoka, Amos Samanga, Julias Nyabereka, George Chivese, James Nemaunga and Titos Dzemhere – all known Zanu (PF) youth members. The villagers expressed despair at the reluctance of police at Ruda to arrest the thugs.
