Murambadoro confident

Bidvest Wits goalkeeper, Energy Murambadoro, is confident the club will overcome its injury woes and finish in the top eight.

A string of injuries to key players at the crucial part of the season has left the side’s dressing room resembling a hospital ward and pushed them out of the top eight.

Their woes worsened Sunday when they were bungled out of the Nedbank Cup, following a 0-2 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns. Murambadoro is not fazed.

“It has been a tough period with key players ruled out for the remainder of the season and the setback has forced the introduction of several youngsters into the team, but we can still do it,” he said.

While the 29-year-old has recovered and is available for selection, Thando Mngomeni, Sandile Sibande, Masibusane Zongo and Ryan Chapman are ruled out for the remainder of this campaign.
