Held under the auspices of the Zimbabwe International Book Fair, it was last held in the city in 2007.
More than 35 publishers, writers and booksellers took part this year. The ZIBF chairperson, MusaemuraZimunya, said the publishing and the education sector had been severely affected by the economic meltdown.
“I was impressed with the quality of exhibitors at the fair. All stakeholders in the book and publishing industries were represented. Our theme, African Literature in the Global and Digital Er,) resonated well with the current trend in the industry where computer technology and internet is now the in thing,” he said.
