“As usual, police officers across the country were forced to part with their cash. We have become accustomed to such fraud by our bosses who utilise such national events to rob helpless police juniors of their hard earned money”.
“At the end of the day only top government and Zanu (PF) officials enjoy the feast at the expense of those who have funded the event,” said a middle level officer at District Headquarters.
He blamed the Police Commissioner Augustine Chihuri’s open affiliation to Zanu (PF). “The problem lies with Chihuri, who would go to any lengths to ensure that Zanu (PF) events are a success. Other uniformed forces such as the army are not treated like this,” he said.
