Ezenkosi have had a disappointing ABSA Premiership return season, after picking a paltry ring 16 points from a possible 63, but after Jomo Sono’s men beat Bidvest Wits 1-0 Wednesday, Rusike, who scored the solitary goal, is positive.

The Zimbabwean striker netted the solitary goal at Bidvest Stadium. “It will take a lot of determination, but if we work as one cohesive unit, then our fate will be in our hands,” Rusike said.

“Fighting relegation is never easy but the players have kept a good spirit. We have been playing football but a lack of concentration at crucial times and a lack of luck has been our downfall.

The mood remains positive and a lot of that is due to the fact that Sono really does believe in us.”
