Urban grooves finest set to rock Jozi

Urban grooves heavyweights are set to give their Johannesburg fans a memorable Easter holiday musical performance with their Saturday show in Hillbrow.

Rap kingpin Stunner, dancehall prodigy Freeman, 2BG co-founder Blush and “Tamari” hit maker Trinta from HoneyVybz are seen as draw cards for the show dubbed Easter Fest. The Tazoita Cash Records executive is expected to churn out his bag of hits from “Timu Hombe” to “Godo” whereas the “Joina City” hit maker will unleash a musical terror from his hit carrying album – “Dangerzone.”

Representing Gold Rush, the show co-organiser Kudakwashe “Prowess Black” Mapwashike said all artists had confirmed attendance including Freeman who has another show in Pretoria.

Prowess Black who is also part of the hip hop trio 615 gave all credit to Trinta for putting the show together and selecting ‘artistes of the moment who have a huge fan base’.

The organisers are no newcomers to promoting musical shows with the Easter Fest being their second with Zimbabwean artists. The first was the Valentine Special which featured Blush, Nox, Linx, Culture B, Trinta, Mthulisi and Prowess Black himself.
