Education in the doldrums

EDITOR - The quality of education in Zimbabwe, once an envy is no more. Absenteeism, feeble management, outdated curriculum, poor instructional strategies and a host of other factors are making its products inept.

Many junior and high students can hardly construct grammatically correct sentences, let alone discuss issues coherently. They are not even conversant with what is happening in their local and global arena that has a bearing on today’s life.

Responses given to challenges are of a lower level. Equipped with nothing, the products of Marxist thinking roam the streets and end up being used by politicians. WOZA has been advocating for a complete overhaul of the education system but receive brutal force. Government turns a blind eye and watch them ruined. – M Muda, Hre.
