Fifteen MDC-T activists including Mayor Farai Nyandoro and Councillor Carlos Mudzongo are being accused of participating in the intra-party violence which left scores of party officials injured at Two Boy Shopping Centre in the Chief Svosve area two months ago.
The accused are out of custody on $300 bail each.
The MDC activists were granted arguably one of the most stringent ever bail conditions in fist violence related cases involving fighting.
The accused were also ordered to report at the Marondera District Police Law and Order section every Friday.
When they were remanded in custody pending a ruling on their bail application, the accused where shuttled from the courts to St. Thomas Prison and back to the courts in leg irons.
One of them, Samuel Kamundarira, sustained cuts in the right leg as a result of the leg irons.
"I will advise my lawyer about the wound I sustained as a result of the police leg irons, when we appear again in court," said Kamundarira.
The court case was running concurrently with the MDC-T party disciplinary hearings regarding the Two Boy violence.

Intra party violence needs to stop. It is selfish and does not help the people of Zimbabwe. Leaders should have better things to do than get into fights.
