“It is painful that they are using the names of our husbands during their campaign rallies. They are using the heroism of our husbands for the sake of their own power. It is unfair because the majority of us are languishing in poverty. There are some people who are in power because of the blood, tears and sweat of our husbands and we, as their wives, have not been rewarded at all,” said Zvidzai.
The widows said they would soon meet Manicaland Governor, Chris Mushowe, in the hope that he would tell President Robert Mugabe their woes.
