Unlike other local authorities, Marondera town council has managed to maintain a pothole free road network across the town Central Business Area. “To ensure our roads remained serviceable, the council roads department sticks to a daily routine roads inspection and servicing programme.
Through the Zimbabwe National Roads Authority, ZINARA, council collects Pre-mix tar from Skyline Company almost on a daily basis. This enables us to patch-up potential pothole areas before the public and other road users have noticed anything on the ground,” said the Mayor, Farai Nyandoro.
He said council would eradicate potholes around residential areas as soon as the local authority has received its $150 000 allocation from ZINARA.
