Hesh Mfesh to launch DVD

One of the pioneers of the urban grooves movement, Joe Machingura of the “Hesh Mfesh”stable, has revealed that they are working on a DVD to be released soon.

The production will be a composition of musical videos by various artists.

“We have been working on this for a long time and l believe our fans will be pleased as they have rallied behind us through thick and thin,” said Machingura.

“We decided to embark on this initiative after realizing that if artists do it alone, the rewards will be next to nothing as royalties are slow in coming,” he said.

The DVD will feature videos from the likes of songstress Cindirall Munyavi, new kid Yoz and co-producer Lazzy Tee.

Machingura also indicated his desire to sit on the National Arts Council board in the future.

“I believe my experience as the Public Relations Officer of the Zimbabwe Urban Groovers Association will come in handy and should the opportunity arise, l will welcome it with both hands,” he said.

Hesh Mfesh is a musical recording studio which opened its doors in 2007 and is home to a number of musicians whose albums have taken the airwaves by storm. Leonard “Leo” Mapfumo is co-owner of the stable.
