Speaking to The Zimbabwean, Siphiwe Sibiya of Showoffs Promotions said theywere bringing Macheso because his lyrics were so popular. “If you ever take time to listen to Macheso’s music, you will hear that he sings about the realities of life and this is popular with his fans,” said Sibiya. ‘’After a discussion with my partners at CC Promotions, we agreed to bring him over.” A CC Promotions official, Victor Sithole, added that Nox would also be onstage.
“Fans should brace themselves for Nox of the Ndinonyara fame. We decided to bring him because he has a huge following and he hasn’t been in the country since August last year,” he said.
Macheso remains the king of Sungura music since releasing albums like Simbaradzo which sold 350 000 copies.His follow, ZvakanakaZvakadaro, was also a success,reportedly selling 100 000 copies in its first week.
