MDC 29 Trial postponed to tomorrow

The trial of the 29 mdc activists has failed to kick off today as scheduled after the trial judge,Justice Chinembiri Bhunu excused himself to attend a relative’s funeral. The trial will continue tomorrow at 1000hrs.

The activists are accused of murdering a police officer in may last year. They deny the charge. Some of the accused persons have been on remand for over a year now.

Meanwhile, the Youth Assembly Provincial Chairman for Mat South, Morgan Ncube who was arrested on June 6 in Plumtree on allegations of insulting Zanu PF President, Robert Mugabe at a rally held in Plumtree on June 2, has been remanded in custody to June 22.
