MDC-T MP suspension lifted

Movement for Democratic Change has reversed its suspension of the Hurungwe West Member of Parliament, Tall Severino Chambati.

According to a letter in our possesion from Eddy Ndiraire who is the provincial disciplinary committee chairperson and addressed to Chambati, the misconduct charge has been suspended pending further investigations.

"This letter serves to inform that your suspension from all MDC-T party activities in Hurungwe West has been lifted on the grounds that the National Executive is investigating the matter.

This in effect means that you are no longer required to appear before a disciplinary Committee on the 23rd of June 2012."

Chambati was suspended early this month for inciting public violence that rocked the party at Zvipani district.

Provincial chairman Japhet Karemba confirmed that Chambati will await a probe that has exposed inter party divisions in Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai's party.
