The Dan Tshanda Foundation was established to help fellow musicians who do not have the ability to take their music to the masses. He told The Zimbabwean that he wanted to invest in the community in response to the loyalty it has shown him over the past 26 years.

“Zimbabwe is my home. That is where my music is hugely followed. I am in need of talented youngsters to include in the Dalom Music set-up as we continue to build our legacy,” he said.

Tshanda paid tribute to his Zimbabwean fan base.

“I am where I am today because of Zimbabweans. I have power because ofthem and their continued support keeps my career on track. This is why I dedicated a track ZimZim to them last year just to show appreciation for what they are doing for me,” he said.

Tshanda has produced more than 20 albums in the last decade and he also commands a following in Botswana.
