“Chinotimba promised us maize, but we can’t see anything here,” one young supporter said. When contacted for comment, Joseph Chinotimba said he was not there.
“All I know is that we planned to give ward 29 maize and I am told they have received it,” he said.
However, sources said Zanu (PF) only promised the maize in order to disturb an MDC-T rally being held at Muzokomba Business Centre.
“People were promised maize so that they would come in numbers, but they did not get anything,” said a close Zanu (PF) source.
