Dynamos treasure stripped of his powers

Dynamos treasurer Moses Chikwairo has been stripped of his powers and will not be allowed to man the gates following allegations of looting gate takings.

Traditionally, the Dynamos treasurer is responsible for allocating cashiers their posts and is overally in charge of the gate takings whenever the team plays at home but this will no longer be the case as those responsibilities have been taken away and club secretary Ray Kazembe has in the meantime been asked to take over until further notice.

The final straw came following Dynamos home match against Blue Rangers on July 8 when Chikwairo’s figures did not tally with gate receipts as there was a $5 000 shortfall.

Sources revealed that the treasurer then decided to make up for the shortfall with $5 000 from his own pocket which the club felt was against practice.

Club chairman Keni Mubaiwa confirmed they have been changes in the team’s financial set up especially in relation with the manning of the gates but added that it was an issue Dynamos were sorting out as a family.

He said the issue of gate takings at Dynamos is not new adding that his executive was trying to put in the best measures which would ensure that Dynamos got the best from their crowd attendances.

There has been talk that Dynamos was not getting the best from the gates with allegations of looting going way back since the Premier Soccer League was formed and before it the Super League.

On many occasions, questions have been raised as to the figures released and the actual crowd that would have witnessed Dynamos play.
