Our problem is a failure to appreciate that we are the masters of our own destiny. Our young people are simply being taught to believe that hating white people from the west, while glorifying Asians and allowing them to abuse us, should be regarded as patriotism.
It seems there is a hidden code, stipulating that it should always be taboo to believe in ourselves. This is stupidity unimaginable, yet not many people seem to notice.
However, despite the fact that nothing is going in the right direction, let us continue to encourage our young people to be positive and begin to engage in positive programmes that will make a difference. – Andrew Masuku, by e-mail
