
Moyo, who propelled House-kwasa pioneer, Viviane Nomakanjani, to national stardom, said the new ensemble was meant to empower women through music by recording mostly songs that challenge male dominance.
“I organised the group to stand up for women. We then recorded the single to gauge the people’s interest. So far, I am very happy that they have been welcomed into the music industry. We have had many people liking them on Facebook, while many others have been calling from back home encouraging us to record an album,” he said.
Their first single sets the tone by challenging men to show appreciation for the role that women are playing in both the home and in society at large and rebukes those who are thankless and continue bashing their wives and girlfriends. It also advises men to stop taking women for granted.
