Dubbed “Mthwakazi night of stars”, the show, to feature dance groups and bands mostly from Matabeleland, is being organised by Southern Promotions, owned by Pretoria-based Zimbabwean businessman, Thamsanqa Ncube.
Ncube, who is also the Executive Director of the annual Miss Zim-SA beauty pageant, said the event is meant to lift the Zimbabwean flag high.
“We expect about 1 000 people to turn up for the show, which will also feature the multi-talented Unity ‘MaUzah’ Moyo, the energetic Viviane Nomakanjani, Zibozizodwa, Vulgar and the dynamite urban contemporary performer, Torto,” he said.
Ncube promised to continue to bring more Zimbabwean events to South Africa, in a bid to make people remember where they come from, with an achievement awards ceremony in the pipeline soon.
