The UK-based filmmaker is set to première her movie titled “The In-Laws” at the Bedfordshire University on July 28. The movie will premiere back home in November or December.
The In-Laws portrays the trials brought about by interracial marriages in the UK where African culture and beliefs are traded for a westernised lifestyle.
In this hilarious offbeat comedy a conservative African couple travel to Europe for the first time to attend the graduation ceremony of their daughter, but find a massive culture shock at the hands of their European daughter-in-law. Karonga stars in the movie alongside Ashley Majaya, Julie Burleton and Gibson Chimuzinga.
