Kwekwe-based human rights lawyer re-arrested for stocktheft

Tapera Sengweni, MDC Midlands North Youth Assembly chairperson and prominent Kwekwe-based human rights lawyer who was arrested last week on false charges of stock theft and granted a US$500 bail was on Wednesday re-arrested.

Sengweni short-lived his freedom as police claimed that he had another stock theft charge to answer in Nkayi, Matebeleland North province.

Meanwhile, Nyamadzawo Gapare, one of the 29 MDC members who in remand prison on false charges of murdering a police officer in Glen View last year is still receiving treatment at a private hospital.
