As MDC Harare Province,we have no doubt in our minds that the planned demostration has been stage-managed by certain nefarious characters who would want to woodwink the general public into believing that the Finance Minister is unreasonably and insensitively refusing to give civil servants higher salaries that are commensurate with the poverty datum line.We wish to place it on record that the Finance Minister cannot and indeed, should not, be individually blamed for the Government's collective failure to pay civil servants competitive salaries.
Civil servants should, instead, demand full disclosure of where the proceeds from the diamonds sales are being channeled to.They should also demand answers as to why the proceeds from the diamond sales are not being directly channeled to Treasury. Put simply,civil servants should refuse to be used and abused by selfish political turncoats who, over the years, have looted the State coffers dry.In these circumstances, therefore,the civil servants' demonstration planned for Tuesday, July 24, 2012, is completely misdirected and misfocused.

ofcourse civil servants are blaming finance minister for not increasing their Salaries but one wonders is he the only person in government no. civil servants must blame their employer government not Biti .it looks like this mater has been policised such that it is used by Zanu pf as compain tool to blackmail an innocent figure. Let us not hate aperson but let us point our finger straight to the problem.
