Riding high on his latest album, My Joy, Migi has come to be the darling of Jazz fans. At the recently held provincial Chibuku Road to fame competition of upcoming musicians, Migi clinched first position, shrugging off stiff competition from 10 popular groups, including Gweru-based True Coluors, Afro Storm and Afro Breeze.
Migi now has the ticket to represent the province at the national finals slated for September 29 in the capital. “We did not go to the competition to compete but to perform and present what we had practised and I encourage the losing groups not to give up but stay focused,” he said.
