The former Caps United and national team hard-tackler, who also played in neighbouring South Africa, now proudly runs Shalom Car Sales and Hire. Apart from selling cars, the company also offers hiring services for tours and weddings to those in urgent need.

“I am happy with the way the company has been doing since we opened shop about six years ago and to cater for a broader market base, we decided to venture into other areas such as hiring,” “Commando” told The Zimbabwean recently.

Mpofu remains one of most talented man-markers Zimbabwean football has ever seen, with a football career that took him to Caps, SA’s Umtata Bush Bucks as well as the junior and senior national teams. He says his current success is evidence of proper planning.

“If you are responsible with the money you earn, life becomes easier after you have hung your boots, “added Mpofu.
