“The General” had a successful decade-long stay at the Naturena giants, whom he joined in 2002 from former Zimbabwe PSL outfit, Black Aces.

After the former club captain spurned a one-year deal offered by the Amakhosi, Chiefs football manager, Bobby Motaung told the media that the club would organize a benefit matches for the long-serving Zimbabwean and South Africa’s Thabo Mooki.

Nengomasha, a rock on which successive Chiefs coaches built their team and who wore the armband for the better part of their 2008-11 campaigns, told The Zimbabwean from his new base at Bidvest Wits that such a game would be great for him.

“I do not know much about such a game because no-one from Chiefs has told me about that at the moment, but if it does materialise, then I will be very happy,” said the 29-year-old midfield workhorse.
