Unity Moyo goes solo

Unity Moyo, one of the pioneers of kwaito music, has released another solo album.

The six-track offering entitled Ebusuku is certain to raise the Bulawayo-born artist’s profile in the music industry.

“The reception among fans has been good,” Moyo, a member of popular kwaito group, Achuzzi, told The Zimbabwean.

‘Ebusuku’ is a follow-up to his solo debut, Survivor. The musician first made a name for himself in the late 1990s when he recorded a number of albums with Achuzzi. He received a further boost to his career when he performed alongside local musicians at an event commemorating the 94th birthday of former South African president, Nelson Mandela.
