Zifa Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Mashingaidze said they have asked the Ethics Committee to effect action immediately in order to stamp out the corruption that took centre stage in the region last season.
The Ethics Committee which has also been tasked with the Asiagate Scandal is being headed by retired judge, Justice Ahmed Ebrahim.
Former police officer Brighton Mudzamiri, retired referee Wilfred Mukuna, Ester Mubaiwa, and Reuben Pwanyiwa were the investigating team of the Centralgate scandal.
At the centre of the storm are allegations that referees were paid to throw matches in favour of certain teams in the promotion battle For Premier Soccer League places.
Senior football administrators were implicated in the match fixing ring whose results according to Mashingaidze will be made public as soon as the Ethics Committee goes through the report.
Already Zifa board members Patrick Hokonya and Gift Banda as well as Zimbabwe Women’s Soccer League secretary general Samukeliso Silangane have been suspended in the wake of investigations into the matter.
Hardbody were promoted from the Central Region only after the intervention of the Arbitration Centre after a prolonged battle with Tripple B.
