ECAZ said the infamous group, allegedly linked to Zanu (PF), should be stopped.

ECAZ also called on the Minister to ensure council employees were protected from the group as they carried out their duties.
Members of Chipangano have been causing havoc in the city, blocking several development projects. The group stopped a $5 million housing project by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
The project could have seen the construction of 80 blocks of flats to benefit the poor. They were demanding that they be given 51 percent of the houses ostensibly under the controversial indigenisation programme.
