Controversial and nomadic coach, Moses Chunga is understood to be heading for FC Platinum to take over the position that was left vacant by Warriors coach, Rahman Gumbo, who was sacked a few months ago.

The team has been under the guidance of caretaker coach Tendai Chikuni but a string of poor results are said to have forced a rethink on the team’s administration on who should be in charge of the team’s coaching side.

The final straw is said to have come over the weekend when FC Platinum were mauled 3-0 by Monomotapa in their own home ground of Mandava Stadium on Saturday.

Ironically, Gumbo was also fired after losing to the same team Monomotapa in the two teams’ first meeting in Harare.

Although FC Platinum Chairman Tadious Zhou could not be reached to shed light on this development, sources have revealed that the club leadership has been in discussion with Chunga with the possibility of him taking over the hot seat.

Chunga, however, hinted Sunday at the game between Dynamos and Caps United at the National Sports Stadium that he might be on the FC Platinum bench soon.

This is not the first time that Chunga has been linked to the FC Platinum job. Before Gumbo was taken on board, Chunga was one of those coaches who were in line to take over the position. Chunga is out of employment since leaving Zimbabwe Republic Police team Black Mambas
