Kennedy Jonhera, 40, stationed at Highfield New Camp was also accused of soliciting a bribe from the woman.
He had arrested Dorothy Tindirika, 30, of Unit G for driving the wrong way down a one-way lane. Jonhera appeared before magistrate Rumbidzai Mugwagwa charged with two counts of criminal abuse of duty as a public officer and indecent assault.
Jonhera denied the charges. Tindirika said Jonhera tried to kiss her when she told him that her husband was out of the country.
