City spokesperson, Leslie Gwindi, downplayed the financial crisis at council, saying it was nothing serious.
“We do struggle here and there and sometimes we lag behind in some of our payments but we are fine,” he said.
He denied that council owed Harare Municipal Medical Aid Society $5 million. “If they want to debate that, they should come to us. We do not debate our financials in public,” he said.
