Dube (37) who has recorded three gospel music albums with The Chosen Brothers, recently came up with a solo 10-track album titled, “Ulizwi”. “Having been in the studio with The Chosen Brothers, I wanted to explore a path that would be different from what I was used to, hence this album’s release,” said the Brethren-in-Christ Church member.

“I am still a member of The Chosen Brothers and my fellow band-mates have given me their blessings.”

Dube worked with another experienced hit-maker, Quiet Ncube of The Nations, who features regularly in the album. The album also features Ncube’s right-hand man, Tshiamo Molapo and his wife, Mabusi, who is a member of The Nations Sisters.

“I would like to emulate my role models, Derrick Ndzimande, Joseph Tshabalala and the late Vuyo Mokoena in achieving musical success,” added Dube, who cut his teeth in music with the Home-bound Brothers in his rural Kezi home 25 years ago.
