Speaking on the sidelines of a workshop organised by DAPP, the women said they were grateful to be given another chance in life to start income-generating projects.
“We were helped to transform ourselves, and now we are earning an honest living,” said Maria Carlos.
DAPP Partnership Manager, David Karingamupembe, said the Women’s Economic Empowerment and Enterprise Development initiative was born out of the direct need to mitigate the risk factor in the spread of HIV.
