
This has since boosted her morale together with his “Iam so proud of her,” said her father. “Her first race in the karts was impressive and she is showing great potential in the sport. My dream is to see her making it to the top and becoming the most successful woman in this sport. I will be fully behind her and she has never given me any reason to give up.”
Muzinda started participating in motorsport at the age of five. She began with the bikes in motocross where she is currently ranked second out of ten riders. The Grade Three pupil at Eaglesvale School rides a manual Honda 50cc bike in the Peewee category where most of her opponents ride auto bikes.
The manual Honda 50cc is two classes ahead of the Peewees.
“She(Tanya) has great control of it and she has been so amazing in how fast she learns. The sport is very much demanding financially and my wish is to see the corporate world coming in with assistance and help empower girls and women in such male-dominated sports,” said Muzinda.
