Mtizwa adapting well

Defensive midfielder, Lionnel Mtizwa said recently that he was adapting well at new club, Pretoria University. The national team player joined the newly-promoted AmaTuks at the beginning of this season, after he was off-loaded by cash-rich Mamelodi Sundowns, with whom he had a forgetful two-year stint due to injury.

“The two seasons I spent with Sundowns have been the worst so far in my career because I did not get a chance to play due to a long lay-off caused by an ankle injury,” said the former Caps United star. “I am happy that I have been given another shot here and will use this opportunity of a different club and different atmosphere to start afresh.”

AmaTuks manager, Graham Oosthuis, also believes that Mtizwa will bring quality to the ABSA Premiership newboys, who are fighting for staying power in the competitive league.

“He is a gem and one of our most valuable players due to the talent and experience he brings to the team. He is adjusting well into the team and very soon, you will see the best of him,” said Oosthuis.
