Navaya stabs girlfriend

Former Highlanders striker, Macrazer Navaya, was recently remanded in custody on charges of domestic violence and malicious injury to property.

Prosecutor Stancelous Kanyemba told the court that on May 29 Navaya (31) stabbed his former girlfriend, Farai Sisanda with a kitchen knife, after a misunderstanding and cut her right thumb, inflicting a deep cut on it.

He also allegedly broke the complainant’s window pane and damaged the roof of her house. A medical report has been produced as evidence, but Navaya denies the charges. Magistrate Mildred Mutuvi remanded him in custody to August 10.
