A video message explained he was not able to attend on account of poor health. Rogers, who lives in the UK, spoke of the wonderful life he had in Africa, and thanked the many people who had worked with him over the 51 years he had spent in Zimbabwe.
The publishers paid tribute to Rogers’s pioneering role in responding as a Christian and a pastor to a variety of social issues in Zimbabwe. He started a church-based AIDS project, long before anyone else. – Copies of TED ROGERS: Jesuit, Social Activist and AIDS Pioneer in Zimbabwe can be obtained from Cluster Publications at R150 each cluster@clusterpublications.co.za Phone 033 8468602.
